Aikido as a discipline emerged in Japan in the mid 20-ies of this century and was first widely publicized in 1954. The founder of this popular form of modern martial art, numbering several thousand devices that use the most painful part of the clamps and locks hands with the subsequent roll with the active use of beanery capacity of the organism was Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969). He successfully synthesized and creatively summarized accomplishments of many Japanese and Chinese schools of martial arts, such as Aiki-Jutsu, Jiu-Jitsu, Daito-ryu and judo, and presented the world a unique, slender, graceful in form and content of the martial arts system, whose main objective – not a victory over the partner, and improving the physical, moral, and ethical qualities involved, the cultivation of the spirit of lack of conflict and harmony in relations with the outside world.
